GGRecon have partnered with Venatus, the advertising technology platform focused on gaming and entertainment, responsible for connecting publishers and brands with GGRecon’s offering through direct and programmatic advertising, including bespoke video and audio advertisements and site takeovers.
Venatus CEO, Rob Gay, said: “Venatus is delighted to be partnering with GGRecon to help drive revenue across their new site, which has seen a fantastic amount of growth over the last year. The GGRecon team are dedicated to providing their users with the best website experience, making them the perfect partner for Venatus. We look forward to introducing our global clients to GGRecon’s growing core gaming audience.”
GGRecon was founded in December 2019, and since its inception has had a heavy focus on esports. They cover titles such as VALORANT, CS:GO, Call of Duty, Overwatch, and many others.
For the last 12 months, they have been working with Degree53 to design a bespoke, innovative website that serves their gaming and esports audience in a way that is unique in the industry, which has been developed by Radical Company.
As a result of ensuring they have a tightly-defined audience, GGRecon has seen their Page Views increase from 47k a month from when they started, to two million a month in January 2021.
Their content has received over 600k reactions on Facebook in just three months. In the same time period, they have had more interactions on their content than Polygon, Game Rant, PlayStation and Fortnite’s official Pages, and even Nintendo.
Chris Young, Managing Director at GGRecon, said: “Since launching GGRecon at the end of 2019, we have always been focused on providing our users with the best experience when visiting the website, alongside producing industry leading content across all of our verticals. A partnership with Venatus to assist in monetising our business is the perfect fit, given their industry endemic focus and experience.
“A lot of hard work has gone into the production of this website, and we can’t wait to better serve our loyal audience with this new way to experience esports and gaming content.”
