Venatus Media, the Global Advertising Technology Platform, opens Australian office
Venatus Media, the Global Advertising Technology Platform, has announced it is expanding internationally, opening an office in Sydney, Australia.
This is their second international office launch within the last three months following the expansion into Seoul, South Korea, strengthening their leading global gaming position.
Already established in London and Paris, the expansion in Australia will boost the ad sales house’s partnerships with publishers and advertisers within this market. Edd Simpson, country manager who previously worked for Fairfax and Amobee, will be leading the Australian business.
Once perceived as a relatively minor region in terms of gaming consumption, Australia’s 12.4 million gamers will spend a staggering $1.3 billion on video games and related hardware this year, placing the region in the world’s top 15 leading game markets.
The expansion within the Australian market along with South Korea will give the ad sales house a footprint in the APAC region where eSports is tipped to rival traditional sports in the coming years.
Rob Gay, CEO and co-founder of Venatus said: “This is an exciting time for Venatus. We are delighted that Edd will be driving our development in Australia as country manager.
“With a proven track record in developing and supporting innovative solutions to meet client needs, Edd is commercially focused and has an extensive amount of experience which will contribute to Venatus’ future global organic growth”.
